When Dave and Scott Johnson (Father and Son founders of The Notorious D.O.G. House) used to travel for business, they realized a few things. No matter where they went, the are had a local take on a hamburger and a hot dog. 

Back home in Cedar City, when they decided to open a business, they noted there were plenty of good hamburger places, but no place for specialty dogs. And so, The Notorious D.O.G. House was first conceived. Based on their travels and extensive research, they developed a menu to showcase hot dogs from across the country. 

They researched and taste-tested brands of dogs, chili, buns, and condiments to go with them. They then searched for suppliers. Then COVID-19 Pandemic hit and some items weren't avalable reliably. They had to give up the prepared chili they had planned on and ended up creating a recipe to make chili from scratch that they think is even better. They slice and dice fresh onions, mix the cole slaw, and grate the cheese - "Because it's better that way".

Their vision was to provide a quality meal for a fair price. they enjoy bringing back memories to some customers and introducing new tastes to others. The feedback from customers says they're succeeding. Native Chicagoan's have declared their Chicago do the best this side of Chicago and plenty of people who first said "ewww" to cream cheese on a hot dog are now top fans of their Seattle Dog.
